The Nativity Play at Pine Mountain Settlement School has been performed annually since the School’s founding in 1913. A cherished community tradition, this unique play embodies the Christian heritage of the School’s foundation and the faith of the surrounding community. The cast members are devoted volunteers, often participating in the play for many consecutive years, and in some cases they are the 2nd or 3rd generation in their families to do so. This year is especially meaningful as our beloved Chapel celebrates its centennial anniversary, adding historic resonance to the performance. We are also blessed with new volunteers joining the cast, continuing the tradition while bringing fresh energy and dedication. The authentic feel of the Pine Mountain Settlement Nativity Play, set in our Chapel, is unmatched in its simple beauty and peaceful honor to Christ.
