Since 1913, Pine Mountain Settlement School has been a place where children discover the natural world, families grow their own food, and communities come together across generations. We are a nonprofit rooted in Appalachian tradition and driven by a belief that this land and its people have something extraordinary to offer the world.

Our Farm Institute serves over 80 participants annually, reaching more than 300 family members with free workshops, organic seeds, and the practical skills to feed themselves and their neighbors. -
